The party season is here again, so this month I thought I'd give you a few pointers on getting from desk to dancefloor with minimum effort!
To create sexy smouldering eyes in super quick time, use i-smoulder in charcoal. This pencil features a unique angled twist-up tip at one end, for a thick, sexy line, and a shadow at the other end for total 'va va voom'.
For a quick fix to pep up the skin use i-shimmer in Sherbet and apply a little to the tops of the cheekbone and blend with the brush provided. This will give your skin an instant glow and a little Christmas sparkle. If you have to pop to the loo to slip into that little black dress don’t forget to dust some i-glow shimmer powder in Ice pop over your shoulders, décolleté and arms to give your skin a real glow!
Finally don’t forget to take a pack of i-kiss kiss on colour cards out with you for a quick mirror free application of lipstick after smooching under the mistletoe.

It has been a great year for new<id cosmetics, thank you for all your support!- new<id cosmetics was backstage in the Gift Lounge this weekend at The Royal Variety Performance, providing gift bags filled with our cosmetics to the famous stars and performers attending the show. The performers included Jon Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Darcy Bussell, Kate Thornton and the eye-liner-loving Russel Brand!
I was lucky enough to meet the gorgeous Myleene recently, and her make-up was picture perfect, as always, so this month I thought I would pass on the secrets behind her look!
Myleene likes to go for darker eyes and more natural lips. To create this look, you should always start with your eye make-up, and apply your foundation afterwards. This way if there is any ‘fall out‘ under the eye from the darker eye shadows you can just wipe away with cleanser.
Start with i - smoulder in Charcoal and line around the inside of the eye with the black liner end. Next blink hard, to transfer the colour up to the top lid, and repeat that process a couple more times to build the colour up. Now with the cream shadow end, run the sponge along the top lashes and blend upwards over the moving part of the eyelid. Next, use the darker shade from the Choca Mocha eye shadow duo and blend over your smudgy line, and up over the moving part of the lid again. This will give you a nice dark smoky eye lid. Finish your eyes with plenty of mascara. Myleene’s eyes are prone to looking a little down turned at the outside edges, so a great tip is to pat a little concealer into the outside corners of the eye to give an instant lift!
After applying a very fine foundation to the cheeks forehead and nose, apply i-glow in Ice Pop to the apples of the cheek to recreate that health glow! Finish the look by slicking on plenty of i-gloss in Honey Pot.

Ashley Gaunt, International Art Director for Burlingtons, reveals how to look stylish for the festive party season!
She told us that we should we wearing our hair up, and going for a softer chic look. After washing and drying the hair, backcomb it and put the hair into a side ponytail or a textured bun behind the ear. High ponytails are also great, and all of these up-do's look particularly good with long straight fringes. Use Redken glass for shine and use Redken Quick Dry hairspray for hold.
